This is a lighted vessel that is made of knitted hemp fiber
with a small amount of wool felted over it, allowing the
interior light to shine through.
Hemp fiber is knitted in a circular fashion
and the bottom is closed up
The knitted basket is placed over a waterproof container.
Wetting it down allows the thickness to show through.
Wool fiber is lightly layered over it.
The basket will be the support for the vessel.
Gradually add more fiber but make sure it is
thinly layered on top. Add liquid soap and start wet felting!
When it was felted firmly enough,
it was rolled over the bubble wrap back and forth to help felt it more.
Let dry on the container to support it. I added
some beads to the front as well as a braided tie
An LED tea light is placed in the bottom
and the knitting shows through the fiber
