This is my favorite part of creating a vessel. I add colors complementary to the one below it and then add embellishment with firestar, silk, bamboo and angelina. I take pics along the way because when I flip the vessel over, the other side needs to look relatively the same.
MInd you, I'm still not sure what will happen because I have to be able to remove the resist! I also need to blow up a balloon inside the drying vessel to keep its shape.
I cut off the top and carefully pulled out the resist, folded down the narrow neck to be able to blow up the balloon then inserted a 12" balloon and blew it up. I inserted a rolled up piece of resist in the neck of the vessel to keep it open as it is drying. Then I pulled out the balloon with tweezers. Happily, it worked!
