Here's a vessel that was made with a teardrop-shaped resist.
The bowl will have a very narrow opening on the top.
Here's the resist:
Each side is covered with two layers of wool.
Now I start adding the colors in different hues of blue wool.
When I'm happy with the colorful additions,
I wet the fiber to begin felting.
One side done!
The vessel is finished! I blow up a balloon inside and prop it up to dry. The balloon also stretches the walls of the vessel. Doing it this way smooths and eliminates the edge of the resist.
I really like how this "new to me" teardrop shaped resist turned out.
Nevertheless, it's going to be on display for sale at a gallery where I am a member
